A summary of the Village's current status as well as updates on mission influence and events.
Conditions:
Rated from 0(worst) to 10(best) by increments of tenths.
Morale: 3.4
Despite a fairly high standard of living for the majority of citizens, the institution of slavery and influence exerted by the powerful landowner minority has caused much of Iwa's people to distrust and resent its government.
Infrastructure: 7.5
Hidden within a large cavern of a natural cliff, the village serves as the primary mining headquarters with hundreds of underground tunnels sprawled in all directions. Large cracks and rifts in the cavern's ceiling provides natural lighting and a flowing stream that runs through the village provides freshwater. The majority of buildings are composed of hardened rock or caverns built into the walls. Hundreds of mining towns also run throughout the country.
Economy: 8.8
A vast supply of natural resources has blessed Iwa with a booming economy and the cheap labor force provided by the large slave workforce only serves to boost its prosperity. Hundreds of mining towns and trade routes linking Iwa with Kumo and Kiri have allowed Iwa to share its wealth with the world and further improve relations.
Military: 1
By focusing solely on its economy, Iwa has completely ignored its military. Kumo has generously provided Ninjas to Iwa, for a cost of course, to which Iwa has accepted with open arms.
Politics: 6.5
-Allies - Kumo
-Neutral - Kiri
-Enemies - Konoha, Suna
Greed seems to be the primary driving force in the Iwa government, composed of wealthy landowners who manage to take control of Iwa's desperate state after the war. They exert a significant amount of influence over the Tsuchikage and Daimyou.
Crime Rate: 10%
The majority of social misconduct stems from highwaymen and the occasional slave rebellion, which are brutally quelled by the hired Kumo ninja. Recently, foreign nations have been employing ninjas to raid and steal natural resources.
