The Rules (Please Read)

1. Don't ask to be a mod. The site's administrators will be less likely to take your suggestion seriously, as modship depends on both a continued history of good citizenship and an opening in the position. If both conditions are met, and if the head mod asks you in some form about taking up a position, you are free to accept or decline his/her offer.

2. Characters may fall in love; however, explicit sex is not allowed on the site. Sex may be implied, however, recall that persons of various ages frequent the site, and explicit sexual content will not be allowed for this reason. If activities are deemed inappropriate, the modship holds the right to delete the posts. If you and the rper simply must partake in this sort of storytelling, please take it to IM/e-mail/whatever, as it will not be tolerated on these boards.

3. No trolling

Trolling is the act of purposely posting material (text or otherwise) to attack other members of the site. The modship will not tolerate these attacks.

Flaming, in a similar vein, should be done as civilly as possible. Attacking other members in a violent, verbal fashion will not solve your differences and will only inflame the other side.

4. No spamming.

Spamming is the repeated posting of undesirable content, including advertisements. We kindly ask that these advertisements be taken to the appropriate board. Other forms of spamming are subject to deletion, and the users may be banned at the mods' discretion.

5. Racism, Sexism, etc.

Any sort of content that deliberately and hurtfully attacks another person's sex, race, religion, etc. will not be tolerated on this forum.

6. Godmodding

In rping, godmodding is when you assume control over another's character, be it directly or indirectly. A direct godmod would be something along the lines of (where George and Bob are both PCs):

"George stabbed Bob and Bob died."

Indirect godmodding is, for example, mind reading.

Godmodding is a form of cheating and is not looked kindly upon by other players. More severe cases will cause mods to look into the situation and dictate results; less severe cases can be solved between players.

7. If you cannot post with your character and you have others waiting on you, the others may move ahead if you do not post within a week. That is plenty time to get on your computer and type up at least one post. It would also be courteous if you informed the board of your absence, however, we realize that users may lose their internet suddenly.

8. You cannot kill another person's PC without their written permission. If any customs you make are deemed to be "instant death moves," you will be asked to revise said technique.

9. You may not make a character with more than one bloodline. This means if you are a Hyuuga, you may only learn techniques from the Hyuuga clan. Characters with no bloodline at their creation may "discover" a bloodline later on, so long as it is an approved clan.

Likewise, customs clans must be "unique." This can be achieved through elemental combinations (ie, Haku's ice) or through a concept (ie, Tsukiyono ghosts.) Clans that revolve around one element, like fire or lightning, should be made into customs instead.

10. Rasengan/Chidori cannot be started with. They can be learned through someone else who already has the scroll. Specific pre-reqs must be met to learn both techniques, and there are also no reductions.

11. You may not join the Uchiha clan. They are restricted to three slots. Said slots are decided on by mod vote.

12. Jutsu may only be taught by PCs or learned from scrolls. NPCs cannot directly teach a character a technique.
